YOUTH EQUESTRIAN ENRICHMENT & EXPOSURE PROGRAM

Branching from the Alternative Learning Program at Metropolitan Equestrian, the Youth Equestrian Enrichment and Exposure Program (YEEEP) has been in development since the onset of our partnership in 2021 with Nassau and Suffolk County Schools, as well as the New York City Department of Education. MET’s Youth Equestrian Enrichment and Exposure Program provides students with the unique opportunity to learn about animal husbandry, horsemanship, and components of STEAM/STEM that relate to the equestrian field directly from their classrooms.

Curated specifically to be taught in a school setting, the Youth Equestrian Enrichment and Exposure Program is tailored to the logistical and educational needs of each school. By pairing our Alternative Learning Program (ALP) and horsemanship with existing school curriculum, this cross-pollination sparks interest in students that would otherwise never be exposed to the benefits of equestrian sports. The history of our YEEP has proven success deliverables and incredible growth in our students' confidence and knowledge. At Metropolitan Equestrian, we believe students are never too young to absorb the positive effects of involvement with equestrian sports.
